YTTC Teacher’s Payment schema

Scope: This document describes the YTTC Teacher’s Compensation at Samma Karuna

Payment policy:

• Teachers that are new to Samma Karuna will receive a payment of 700 THB per theory class and 800 THB per yoga practice class independent of the amount of students.
  
  
• After 2 YTTC courses will be receiving payments according to the payment plan below:

* Active Meditations are paid 400 THB/Class and Still Meditations such as Vipassana 300 THB/class independently of the number of students.

** Groups exceeding 22 students may be divided in two two groups, in this case teachers will have to teach every class twice, except for meditation class in the mornings.

*** Weekly quiz (preparation, supervision of students scoring) is paid as 2 class assessment

*Other Benefits

Yoga teachers that are participating in YTTC are entitle of a meal with the students during the days that are teaching, (10:30 to 12:30 from Monday to Saturday).

All YTTC teachers have priority to organize Workshops at Samma Karuna

All YTTC teachers have access to all the activities of the Awakening & Healing program for free.

Internship classes after the course ends (mentoring the students) are paid like assesment classes in the same paid line that the course ran.

Lead Teachers schema:

Teaching history will be taken into account so if a Yoga Teacher has been teaching at Samma Karuna for more than 3 YTTC courses he or she will be able to apply to be considered as a Lead Teacher or Co-Lead Teacher.

This application will be processed and approved by the school director, checking the record of the applicant (behavior on the previous trainings, co-teacher and students feedback) and will be assigned to the next available YTTC.

YTTC lead teachers for the following year are selected around September-October of the current calendar year. We schedule YTTC for entire upcoming year, where every teacher then has the opportunity to apply for the YTTC as a lead and co-lead teaching position.

During this process, established lead teachers always have priority over newly eligible teachers.
