Before Meditation

Stages
0) Dancing Warming-up
Progressively increasing the energy with energetic dancing music for at least 10 minutes (up to 30 minutes).
1) Personal Power (saying NO)
- Keyword:
Start moving around the hall
- Keyword: Stop smiling
- Keyword: Look at people’s eyes
- Keyword + demo: Start stepping hard on the floor
- Keyword: “Say to yourself, it’s enough I’m not going to accept any more shit”
- Keyword: Claim back your personal power
- Keyword: When music starts face partner and shout “No” (remain changes).
- Action: Red light, Music on (very loud)
- Keyword: “NO!”
- Action: Look for people don’t shouting our getting distracted and encourage them to go for it.
- Leave sometime after music is finished.. silence to reconnect (optional short guided meditation to send love to yourself)
2) Vulnerability (Im sorry if I hurt you)
a) Keyword: Hold hands, look at each other eyes, say to each other “I’m sorry if I hurt you”, and when it feels right for both give each other a hug.
Keyword: Allow yourself to stay in the hug
Keyword: Be very sensitive and gentle.
Action: Dimmer white light.
Action: When people start finishing first hug say “When you finish with one partner find another partner”.
3) Grounding (running)
a) Action: White/yellow light
b) Keyword: Hands up, legs up walking around the hall
c) Action: Support each other with sounds, smiles and words of encoragment
d) Keyword: You can do it! Don’t give up.. , hands up legs up.
4) Channeling (stop)
Warning: This stage is still on trial
Keyword: Hands up palms pointing to the sky, relax neck backwards
5) Kundalini shaking
a) Action: Reduce the light.. then switch off
b) Keyword: Closed or opened eyes
Keyword: Feet about shoulders apart, knees slightly bended.
Vertical shaking.. allowing the shaking to continue by itself.
6) Angry stage
- Action:
Lights on dimmer, Red light
- Shouting, same position stage 1
- Using only gibberish
7) Affection stage
a) Keyword: Hold hands, look at each other eyes, say to each other “I love you”, and when it feels right for both give each other a hug.
- Keyword: Allow yourself to stay in the hug
- Keyword: Be very sensitive and gentle.
- Action: Dimmer white light.
- Action: When people start finishing first hug say “When you finish with one partner find another partner”.
8) Dance
Keyword: Eyes opened or closed, allow your body to move in any way it feels right.
Action: Reduced white light
9) Sadness & crying
a) Keyword: Find yourself a place that you like and lay down sideways on your right side.
Keyword: Start with the a soft sound aahhh..
Keyword: Recall a moment on your life with something went wrong, when life unfair… and allow yourself to go fully in to this emotion..
Keyword: Go deep in your insecure and openness, be sensitive, hug yourself
Action: Handle tissue paper to anyone that needs it.
10) Joy & playfulness
a) Keywords: Ha ha ha.. Ha Ha Ha, Ho Ho Ho, Hi Hi Hi
11) Encounter (Dance of lovers)
- Note: As a good practice is recommended to start the circle not allowing the use of hands and arms and when the energy is high enough introduce the use of harms and hands to explore. In some cultures (such as the Indian) the use of hands and arms should not be allowed in the whole stage. Ask your senior teacher if you are not sure.
- Action: Circle of cushions, everyone inside blindfolded
- Keyword: Stage of sexual exploration, if you like something you stay there, if you dont like it you just turn around and go somewhere else.
- Keyword: Eyes close move around the circle of cushions exploring sensations.
- Keyword: Keep moving, listen to your body.
- Keyword: If you need some time off, just come out of the circle and return when you feel ready to continue.
- Keyword: Allow yourself to by sexual and sexy
- Keyword: No rules, everything is allowed
- Action: Every couple of minutes encourage people to find another partner.
- Action: When music is finish ask people to give one step out of the circle of cushions and form a circle of hands.
- Note: Its recommended for a woman to guide this stage.
- Action: Have ready the candle at the end of this stage, switch off fans.
12) AUM Stage (concentration)
- Action: Lights

- Action: Standing in a circle holding hands.
- Keywords: Staring at the candle chanting AUM
- Keyword: Follow the record. When you hear the bell start inhaling. We all sing together.
- Note: Little no talk.
- Action: Leave about 2 minutes silence at the end of this stage.
13) Silence (meditation)
- Note:
Little no talk
- Keyword: Find a place by yourself and sit quietly.
- Keyword: Relax
the body an allow the mind to stay clear and empty.
14) Integration
- Note:
Little no talk
- Keyword:
Find a place by yourself and lay down on your back
- Keyword:
Find a place by yourself and lay down on your back
- Namaste
a) Keyword: Find a partner and hold hands in Namaste posture
b) Look at each other eyes, say to each other “I see the essence of Buddha in you”, and when it feels right for both give each other a hug.
Action: Dimmer white light, little no talk.
Action: When people start finishing first hug say “When you finish with one partner find another partner”.
15) Sharing
a) Keyword: Find a partner that you don’t know much.
Share: What I like the most, what I found more challenging and What I learn.
Keyword: One starts sharing and the other fully listen. Only listen, nothing more.
Keyword: I will tell you when to change.
Action: About 3 minutes sharing each partner and change.
Admition to the event
Samma Karuna AUM is for everyone, still no everyone is for Samma Karuna AUM. If you are planning to offer this event to student you don’t know well (such as drop-in student), you should request them at the end of the demo to fill-in the Samma Karuna AUM application form.
Invite your students for a break and review each application.
Any student marking “yes” to any of the answers or listing health concerns of medical conditions should be addressed directly with the facilitator.
Knee pains or issues with jumping can be addressed just by changing the grounding stage of the meditation to other exercises for this student.
However most other cases may require further consideration and therefore is best to reject the student to take the meditation at this time.
