Payments management and payment methods

Abstract: The following articles explain the different available ways how to request and receive payments from customer based on the program they are booking.

All Awakening & Healing packages including Detox:

• Students can book online at www.sammakaruna.org and pay by Paypal using their Paypal account or credit card (there is no need for them to open a Paypal account).
  
• All incoming payments should be done in US Dollars, or in Euro or Thai Baht using as a reference the rate informed in Bangkok Bank.
  
• Currently we do not support wire transfers as a payment method for this program
  
• Welcome center staff may login to Paypal to reconfirm payment using the following credentials:
  • username: skwelcomecenter
  • password: <ask your manager>
    
• Bookings staff may login to Paypal to reconfirm a payment status or to invoice customer using the following credentials:
  • Username: bookingsSK
  • Password: <ask your manager>
    
• We recommend customer to pay online where a full payment if requested. However on special cases (when there is plenty of accommodation availability) customer can also book by email or phone call and pay cash on arrival.
  
• In any case a customer should be allowed inside a bungalow or class room without paying before.

All Teacher training programs (Tantra, Yoga and Breathwork), including extras such as YTTC 500hr upgrade and Yoga internship

• Students can book online at www.sammakaruna.org or www.sammakaruna.sg and pay by credit card. Customers introduce their credit card information on our website and the payment is processed by Stripe.com.
  
• All incoming payments for these trainings should be done in Euros. or in USD or Thai Baht using as a reference the rate informed in Bangkok Bank.
  
• Customers can only pay online the course deposit by Stripe (using a credit card), remaining balance should pay paid in cash at arrival. Alternatively customers may choose to pay by wire transfer with a 4% extra charge (processing fee).
  
• Customer wishing to pay by wire transfer should pay at the following bank account:
  • Payments by wire transfer are subjected to a 4% processing fee.

• Exceptionally you may allow a customer to the full course by Stripe invoice with a 6.5% processing fee.
  
• Bookings staff may login to Stripe to reconfirm a payment status or invoice a customer using the following credentials:
  • Username: bookings@sammakaruna.org
  • Password: <ask your manager>
    
• Teacher training student CANNOT pay by Paypal as we do not support this payment method

• For cases where you need to request money to a customer you may send an electronic invoice by Stripe.

Note: There are basically 3 companies that compose the Samma Karuna group. All workshops organized at the school are billed by Atishas ltd., Awakenining & Healing program bookings and detox are part of Samma Karuna ltd. and all teacher trainings are billed by Yoga Trade Pte. Ltd in Singapore.
