How to promote a workshop

Abstract: The following article describes the series of steps required to promote a workshop. This procedure is designed to attract as many participants as possible. Whilst this is a good procedure already its mean to be improved as time pass by.
What to do
Way before
- Paste flyers of the workshop at our worshop’s board at our marketing points (if included on agreement).
- Ensure the workshop is posted at our website and the event at our Facebook page.
- Ensure the Welcome Center have got all information about the workshop on the workshop’s folder.
- You should send to welcome center the Workshop’s Infosheet form filled-up with the information of the workshop
About 4 weeks before
- The workshop starting date to the Awakening & Healing Calendar
- Demo Members: Schedule 1 class exclusive for members at least one week before the workshop starts.
- Demo Members & Drop-In: Schedule 1 class open to drop-in allowed about 3 days after the Demo Members class.
Week before the Demo Member class starts
- Community
meeting (Monday 11am): Promote on the community meeting the workshop as
main activity of the week. The facilitator is welcome to come as well and
provide a 5 to 10min demo. Avoid promoting a lot any other activity.
- Run both
scheduled demos
- Social Media:
- At our page: Post of the event 5, 2 and 1 day before the workshop starts.
- Paid Facebook Ads: Create a budget of USD 10 to promote the workshop open demo in Facebook, 2 or 3 days before.
- At Koh Phangan Events: 3 and 1 day before the Demo Members & drop-in.
