How to perform training the for volunteers

Abstract: This document describes the procedure to be follow in order to train a new volunteer.

Audience: Volunteers’ Manager

Training Day

• Training starts every Tuesday at 11am
  • If a volunteer arrives later than Tuesday needs to take the training and start the following Monday (for community meeting)

• Provide copy of manual for volunteers (if you didn’t provide it before)
  • Each volunteer should have a copy of the manual and should return it once their volunteering is finished.

• Introduce the event, explain what is going to be about the training day
  
  Volunteers at SK are expected to watch every week the training video to refresh the procedures.

• Play Volunteers video (do not skip any part)

• Ask for any questions (promote an environment of inquire and team work)

• Take  the manual yourself and read through every part of the manual to all available volunteers ensuring every aspect is clear.

• Give volunteers a tour around all facilities at the school and show them how to perform each major task.
