Abstract: The following KB explains how to perform the final interview with Awakening and Healing student at Samma Karuna in Koh Phangan, Thailand.

Author: Ishi

Version: 1.1. February 2022

Last update: 23rd February 2022

Audience: General Manager; Senior Teacher

The final interview should be booked at the Welcome Centre with either a General Manager or a Senior Teacher and to be conducted during last couple days of the guests stay.

At the beginning of the interview, please explain the student what is the purpose of the meeting:

  • We would like to get some feedback on your stay with us, on what you liked the most or not that much, so we could improve in the future. We would also like to see if we can help you further in your self – development process.

The following questions should be asked:

  • How are you feeling now emotionally and physically, and how is it different from how you were feeling when you arrived at the school?
  • What was the most memorable experience during your stay?
  • Have you had to step over your boundaries during any of the activities? How did that feel?
  • How is your mind? Do you see any changes in the patters and the way you think?
  • Was there one activity in particular that you really liked or had stronger emotional experience during it?
  • Was there anything you did not like? If so, why?
  • Are you planning to keep practising any of the activities you have done here? Like joining a specific type of yoga class back home; finding a breathwork or Tantra class? (If the student would like to keep practising one of the activities, but does not know where he/she can do so back home, try to come up with some recommendations, or see if you can find something online together).
  • Is there anything else you would like to ask or need help with? (If the student participated in the So Ham meditation, you may offer to send them a track, so the student could practise at home). The track can be found here: So Ham
  • After the interview, please ask the student to complete final feedback form, which could be found at the reception.
  • If the student is happy with the stay, ask the student if they could leave us some feedback on either Google or TripAsdvisor. Links below:

Trip Advisor

If the student has participated in Breathwork or Tantra classes and felt that it was good for him/her and had a strong experience, it may be beneficial to tell the student about upcoming Breathwork and Tantra intensive and TTC trainings in Europe and Thailand. If the student is interested, send him a link to the trainings:

If the student is not happy with something, find out the reason behind. Could we have done anything to make their stay better? In this instance, it is very important to just listen to what the student has to say and understand where is he/she coming from. Was it triggered during one of the practises?

Never argue with a student, the most important here is to make them feel heard.

Thank the student for the feedback and wish a beautiful journey home.
