Abstract: The following document provides a series for guidelines to staff to attend weekly staff meetings.

What these meetings are about?

Weekly staff meetings are hold every Monday at 9:30am and all members of staff expected to attend except for House Keeping staff, gardening staff and one member of Welcome Center.

During these meetings we share topics of common interest to the school. Understand a bit better what everyone is doing, ask for help in our work if we need it and get first-hand information on improvements and changes going on.

Topics to be discussed during the meeting are pre-established. If you wish to suggest a topic for the meeting add it to the Microsoft To-do list “Meeting minutes for Staff Meeting”.  You can subscribe to this list using the following link: <Subscribe>

What these meetings are not about?

  • Discussion on topics that involve a particular member of the team or a couple of people
  • Discussion on topics where there is already a member of the staff working in it
    • As the work is already in an ongoing phase we should trust the member of staff that has taken responsibility to solve the issue.
    • Please look at of KB article: How to promote changes, for further information: CIP Model
  • Discussion on topics that are not directly related to the school or gossips

What are you are expected to inform during these meetings?

One at the time you would invited to share the following topics in order:

  1. How you are feeling and how was for you last week
  2. For what are you grateful today

  3. Goals you set for last week
    1. Recall your objectives of last week

  4. Overview of the last week
    1. A brief review of what went well and what needs to be improved in your area and in which extend you accomplished the objectives of last week.
      1. Bring with you a printed copy of any report you submitted during the week and read it to everyone in the meeting to know.
  5. Set of goals for next week
    1. Brief description of your objectives for the upcoming week

Note: All objectives should set should be done using the S.M.A.R.T. philosophy.  What do we mean by a S.M.A.R.T. objective?  S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym that is used to guide the development of measurable goals. Each objective should be:

Specific
Measurable w/Measurement
