Criteria to Qualify Student’s Exam

Abstract: This document describes Samma Karuna’s criteria to qualify student’s written exams.
This criteria applies to Yoga Teacher Training course and all other courses run at the school.

Description: Each question should have a predefined number of points assigned. These points are given to the student according to the following criteria.


Full points


If the student answers fully the question all points assigned to that question are given.

Example:

Which are the 8 limbs of yoga? (5 points)

1) Yama
2) Niyama
3) Asana
4) Pranayama
5) Pratyahara
6) Dharana
7) Dhyana
8) Samadhi

All correct, 5 points assigned


Partial points

If the student demonstrates knowing the answer or the concept associated to it a partial number of points can be given.

Example:

Which are the 8 limbs of yoga? (5 points)

Yamas
Niyamas
Asanas
Pranayama
Restriction of the senses
Interiorization
Concentration
Meditation
           

Partially correct, 3 up to 4 points assigned

No points assigned

Student didn’t answer the question, it wrong answered or incomplete:

Answer:
1) Yamas
2) Niyamas
3) Asanas
4) Pranayama

6) Dharana
7)Dhyana
