Abstract: This document contains the collective knowledge of Samma Karuna to aid in better business administration every day.

- Every Tuesday at 2:15pm there is a staff meeting that lasts for about one hour. Every member of staff is expected to attend.
- The phone number of Samma Karuna is +66 (0) 02 566 04789.
- The website of our school is: www.sammakaruna.org
- We use Google Drive as our cloud server to store all documents of the school, and we call this the “repository”. As a member of staff you should be given access to it. Usually access rights to Google Drive are already linked to the email account we provided you. This means that you can use the same email credentials you have to access your email to access Google Drive. The general folder of the repository of the school is called “Samma Karuna”.
- Each member of staff will be assigned one or more roles as part of his/her esponsibilities at the school.
- The general document of “Roles and Responsibilities” that specifies the tasks and responsibilities of every role is called “New Roles & Responsibilities UPDO – Samma Karuna.” This can be found at: Google Drive/Samma Karuna/Know How Shared/Managers and Chiefs basic training
- The general reports guide for every role is available on the General guide of corporate reports.
- Every role at Samma Karuna has a supervisor and a backup role (usually the supervisor of a role is the backup as well).
- Any member of staff who cannot perform his/her responsibilities has to inform their supervisor and backup as soon as possible by WhatsApp Message and after that by phone call (so to confirm your supervisor is aware you cannot come).
- Every Monday at 11am is the Community Meeting at the school. During this time, students, volunteers, teachers and staff members gather to introduce new members of the community, talk about classes and workshops, and discuss general topics within the community.
All members of the Welcome Center (except one in duty) and teachers are expected to attend.
- If you need to buy something for your job, you can request it by filling up this Zoho Forms App, folder: Purchese Request.
All requests are subject to approval.
- There is a staff timetable file called “Staff Timetable – Samma Karuna” that specifies working days and hours of every member of staff (including yours).
- Extra working hours exceeding 2 hours a month have to be pre-approved in writing by your duty manager in order to be paid.
- Holidays are subject to the Director’s approval (currently Ishi) and have to be requested in advance. There is Knowledge Base article (KB) specifying the holidays and visa-runs schema.
- No refunds can be offered in any case to customers. Refunds must be approved by the designated person in the UPDO document. In case you are requested by a customer for a refund, you should never confirm that, no matter how you think this is refundable or not. Just let the customer know you will forward his request to management for consideration.
- The school has 4 multi-activity halls. A map of the campus is located between the Welcome Center and the stairs to the garden, specifying the location of the halls, bungalows, and campus facilities.
- The main program of the school is the Awakening & Healing program that runs throughout the year, and the daily calendar of this program can be found online at our website. This program is also called “Tantra and Breathwork Awakening Program” or “Yoga of the Heart Awakening progra”.
- The other main courses offered by the school are the Yoga Teacher Training Course (4 weeks long), Tantra Teacher Training Course (4 weeks long), the Breathwork Facilitator Training Course and BioDevelopment Facilitator Training course. Further information about all these programs can be found at our website.
- There is noble silence in the school from 11pm to 9am. During this time, we recommend that our residents remain silent and avoid making loud noises.
- There is a list of emergency numbers in the event of any issues on the campus outside the Welcome Center’s working hours. This list is located at the left-hand side of the main Welcome Center entrace.
- About once a month, we organize a team-building activity with all staff members.
